Simpson Strong-Tie: Their History and Mission

Simpson Strong-Tie was founded in 1956 by Barclay Simpson, who had a simple yet innovative idea to solve a problem. He created a product to connect the ends of 2x4s for a roof, which led to the company's first innovation - a joist hanger.

Today, Simpson Strong-Tie's mission is driven by its people and values-based culture, guided by its founder's Nine Principles of Business. These principles emphasize the importance of customer focus,
innovation, and giving back to the community.
